Alar Placement in Martinism?
Since the Altar in Martinism is the focal point within a Lodge it's location should be placed in such a way and in such a form as to provide for the most benefit of having an Altar at all. My understanding is that the Altar, being the central focus, should be located at the Point within a Circle. Or: If thinking in 3D it would be the Point in the Center of a Sphere. It would also corraspond to Tiphareth on the Tree of Life. Here the Centeral Fire of the Luminaries would draw in Enlivened Fire from 'above' and would then radiate out reaching and touching each officer Equally spaced within the Seal of the Order. If the Altar were placed not in the center but in the East what, if any, difference would be created? I suppose I am trying to find a Theological reason behind any alternative location and if that were the case what significance is that alternative location? Secondly; is there any loss of energy by not being centered? BB:: Icnorbid

New file on HOME.CRPTRAD.INFO Title : Stanzas on the Origin and Destiny of Man Author : Louis-Claude de Saint Martin Description : The origin, nature, and destiny of man have for ages been considered problems of a most interesting character. Philosophers and theologians have directed earnest attention to their solution, while poets have allowed their imagination unlimited scope in a field which seemed to be almost boundless. The Voice of the Soul. Supernal torch, thy light descends on me, My life's enigma is explained by thee. 'Tis not because thy kindly warmth I hail As fire derived from fonts that never fail; Torch which enlightens, in thy splendors bright I see myself derived from thy pure light; Immortal townsman of a heavenly place, From the eternal day my days I trac Weight : 61 Ko http://www.martinisme.info/download.php?op=mydown&did=225

New file on HOME.CRPTRAD.INFO : 80 aphorisms and maxims
New file on HOME.CRPTRAD.INFO Title : 80 aphorisms and maxims Author : Louis-Claude de Saint Martin Description : One of the gifts of the spirit, according to Saint-Martin, is ' to desire ardently the manifestation of the Kingdom. ' Besides writings on mysticism, politics, and ethics, the work of the 'Theosopher of Amboise' contains many spiritual maxims and aphorisms of great beauty and great acuteness. The few published hereafter, in the unsurpassed translation of Arthur E. White, will introduce the reader to the thought of the founder of a corporate school of classical theosophy, so strong that it is still alive today, and has greatly influenced the philosophy and spirituality of the last two centuries. They also present Saint-Martin in the aspect of a litterary man, and we can learn from them that he loved his books, mainly in his capacity as a philosopher, for the truths which were contained in them, as apostle for the mission which they represented, but also and certainly as author for the children of his talent; although as a discerning father, he occasionally sorrowed at their imperfection.
